Temporary Employment Register 2020
 

The Temporary Employment Register is open for candidates to register a general expression of interest for employment with the Australian Office of Financial Management (AOFM). The Temporary Employment Register enables AOFM to access appropriately skilled and experienced individuals at short notice for temporary positions. Opportunities may be offered on a full-time, part-time or casual basis for up to 18 months, depending on operational requirements.

People might be needed to perform work in any area of AOFM activity. AOFM is a specialised agency responsible for the management of Australian Government debt. It also manages the Government’s daily cash balances and undertakes investments in financial assets. Please see our website for further details of our operations at www.aofm.gov.au

Opportunities may vary across classification levels and may be for a specified term, for a specified task, or for duties that are irregular or intermittent.

Vacancies are most likely to arise in Canberra but short-term needs might occur in Sydney or Melbourne. There is no guarantee that an offer of employment will be made whilst your application remains on the register. You will only be contacted regarding your application if a vacancy arises that matches your skills and experience.

Eligibility

The successful applicant will be required to obtain a security clearance to the Baseline level prior to commencing employment with the AOFM. Applicants must be Australian Citizens.

Non-ongoing opportunity will be offered for a specified term or specified task.

Opportunities will be offered for varying periods up to 18 months with a possibility of extension to a maximum of three years.

The AOFM has a strong emphasis on the professional development and career advancement of its staff and provides generous assistance for work-related study. The AOFM consists of a team of around forty who are based in Canberra’s Parliamentary Triangle.
